Before there was Cingular who Raised the Bar and treated customers fairly, then they bought out a Monster (AT&T) who lost market share due to their Ridiculous prices, Lack of customer service and Greedy tactics. I was happy for years with Cingulars service untill now when they became the “New AT&T”.
I remember the good old days when i worked for a Cingular dealer, and we could get some discounts for our customers by taking to customer service (i.e. Activation charges being waved, overages discounted, free accessories, etc…) Now its like pulling teeth to get a penny out of these scrooges.
I called AT&T customer care, and asked if they could help with an $36 Activation fee since iam adding another line and they said it was non negotiable!!!. . & I have been a loyal Cingular customer for 8 + years and i have Sold more Cingular phones by word of mouth than the guy in the Mall.!! .. this is the thanx i get
It seems The New AT&T doesn’t care about its customers, they just want your money thats it!. .
This is an outrage. .. AT&T charges our soldiers in Iraq twenty-one cents /minute to call home on their Pay phones, Meanwhile the wholesale rate for calls to the US is less than one cent a minute.
All I know is Nov 2008 I am jumping Ship. . I am going to get an Unlocked GSM phone for International use & get a Domestic from Verizon.
Anyone feel the same ?

Word … i feel u, they do suck .. I used 2 love them @ cingular too. . now they are bunch of haters!
